Activewear Sampling
Your activewear collection starts here
After payment, we can provide a free 2D mock-up upon request. This preview shows your collection in your selected colours and prints, allowing for last-minute adjustments to shape or colour.
How it works
- Please send your style codes, front and back screenshots or clear line drawings, along with your fabric and colour choices, via email or WhatsApp. We will confirm all details with you before production begins.
- We create your patterns using 2D AutoCAD software, ensuring compression and flexibility across all sizes. Fabric is cut to specification, and your branded heat-press labels are applied.
- We assemble each piece by hand, checking for issues such as ankle bagging, pinching waistbands, and ensuring tops fit snugly around the bust.
- We inspect stitching around the waist, bust, and seat to ensure it remains comfortable, flattering, and body-sculpting after repeated wear.
- After assembly, we send flat-lay photographs for your approval before arranging DHL Xpress collection and delivery. Allow 3 to 5 days for transit.
Sample Costs
Custom Designs:
2 x Wholesale + $30 development fee per style
Ready Designs:
2 x Wholesale, no development fee.
The $30 USD development fee is credited against your bulk deposit on every custom design that goes to production. Samples are paid in full before work begins. Freight is quoted separately, and duties at your end are yours.
If it isn’t right
Minor corrections are corrected using our digital software at no charge. Anything obviously different from the handover you approved is remade at our cost.
How many to sample
A typical first activewear range includes four to six styles, such as two tops, a legging, and a training short. Padel and court brands often add a dress and a skort.
We recommend sampling one or two more pieces than you plan to launch. Adding extra pieces has minimal impact on cost or timeline, while a second sampling round doubles both time and freight expenses.
We suggest sampling at least four designs, as smaller ranges rarely proceed to production. If you wish to test our quality with one or two styles before committing, please send your brand name and website, and we will advise if we’re a good fit.
Placing Your Sample Order
Colours, prints and sizing
We hold 85 stock colours across Comfort Luxe, Motion Luxe, and Air Court imported from the US, with no minimum per colour. Samples are normally made from stock, so cutting begins as soon as payment clears. Colours imported for you add several weeks and must be committed to your bulk order. See our stock fabrics and colours
A digitally printed sample adds roughly a week. If your deadline is tight, we sublimate in Bali on polyester in 2 to 3 days.
Grading follows globally recognised body measurements and can shift a size either way, so a Medium can be redrawn as a Small. Worth checking against your market before you send your request. See the activewear size guide
How to Start Sampling
Send your styles, fabrics, colours, and any print or branding details, and we will manage the rest. Our advice is complimentary, and we respond promptly.
FAQ
Q: Do I need to sample before bulk?
A: For custom designs, we recommend it. Ready styles are already patterned and graded so that bulk can be placed directly.
Q: Should I order one sample set or two?
A: Two is better. The second is invoiced at estimated bulk price and stays in our office as a benchmark against your first production cuts. If you order one set, send it back to us (or we can collect it) so we can do the same.
Q: Can I change a size after seeing the samples?
A: Yes. Grading adjustments between rounds are digital and free, so a fit that runs long or short can be corrected before bulk.
